Supplier awards and new recruits
We have seen a wet start to the autumn this year, which is keeping us busy. According to the Met Office Saturday 3rd October was the wettest day for UK-wide rainfall since records began in 1891. We’re not surpised here at MA Group!
As the business continues to grow we are taking on more new staff and new suppliers. This month we bring you news on the new recruits to the MA Group, as well as the results of the latest quarterly awards for MA Assist suppliers and Virtus surveyors.
New Digital and IT director
We are delighted to welcome Chris Hall (above) to the MA Group as non-executive Digital and IT Director. As the previous owner and managing director of Adactus Ltd he has many years of experience in delivering customised web solutions, mobile development and general bespoke software development across a wide range of eBusiness and eCommerce needs. As the brains behind our claims management system Pulse, he is also very experienced in providing IT solutions to the insurance claims industry.
Other new recruits
We are also delighted to welcome James Ewart to the MA Group as Business Analyst.
James has many years of experience in project delivery, change management and requirements analysis. He will be helping us to mine our wealth of claims data to look for trends and MI that we can feedback to clients as well as identifying areas where we can improve processes and services to our clients and customers. He will also be involved in project management for some of our strategic and IT projects.
We have hired several new people for the control centre this year and are pleased to see so many of them settling in to their jobs and making such positive contributions. A special mention for Harriett Ringsell and Hannah Moscrop who joined MA Group just before lockdown and contributed amazingly well through that difficult period and beyond, staying positive and focussed.
Technical briefing – leak detection

MA Assist Supplier of the Quarter
The MA Assist Supplier of the Quarter to the end of September is Proserve Building Solutions.
They are one of our 5 star suppliers, based on the South Coast. They are consistent performers for us, constantly achieving world class NPS scores. Dan and Nikki continue to get the job done and the customer plaudits.
Well done to Dan and Nikki and the team.
Virtus Surveyor of the Quarter
The Virtus Surveyor of the Quarter to the end of September is Robert Szulc.
Robert consistently performs well for Virtus, making sure he sends his reports in within 24 hours of visiting the customer. He is always happy to help and always calls to make Virtus know where he is working when out of area. He carries out excellent surveys and does everything onsite with no issues.
MA Group MAD Awards
The MADest person in the MA Group in September was Aaron Baker from our Quality team.
Aaron has gone above and beyond in dealing with a complicated situation involving one of our suppliers, supporting the supply chain management team in reconciliations and documentation. At the same time he was dealing with the normal day job for Resolver and was sending out emails at very close to midnight on a number of occasions.
Well done Aaron, you are MAD.
