World Cup fever is upon us. Lloyd’s of London has predicted that France has the most expensive football team and so is the most likely to win the 2018 World Cup. And now that Germany have crashed out of the World Cup there is much relief among England fans that we will definitely not lose to Germany on penalties this time round. If you entered our World Cup sweepstake, good luck. If you hate football – good luck finding somewhere that doesn’t have the football on. And back in the real world, here is our latest news from MA Group.
Charity Golf Day and Dinner
Thank you to everyone who supported the MA Group Charity Golf Day and Dinner at the glorious Oxfordshire Golf Club. It was another successful event – the thunder and lightning held off and we raised a fantastic £8,935 for the Oxford Young Adult Clinic.
The golfers enjoyed the Oxfordshire Golf course immensely, and the non-golfers thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatments and chef masterclass. Aaron James, the compere, was on top form again during the dinner and awards presentations and it was a fantastic social event. Thank you to all our wonderful clients, suppliers and colleagues who made it such a fun and special day.
We have put together a short video of the day which you can view on our website. Save the date for next year – 6th June 2019, venue to be announced.

MA Group MAD awards
The May winner of the MA Group monthly MAD Award was Sean Lonergan from MA Assist.
Sean is an apprentice and has only been with us for two months. He has settled in really well and has already started taking control of claims. In particular he has recently sorted out issues on a long running claim with a loss adjuster, resolving queries on costs and pushing the claim through to approval.
Well done Sean, you are Making A Difference!
The next MA Dry course takes place 17th-19th July in Redditch. It is open to all suppliers and clients, basically anyone who wants to learn more about the science and practical skills needed for the most efficient and intelligent methods.
This three day course is a good mix of theory and practical. Two days are spent studying the science and theory of drying out water damaged properties and one day is spent learning the practical skills, such as how to carry out a proper moisture survey with the correct equipment.
If you would like to find out more please contact the MA Assist Head of Supply Chain, Stephen Pomfret
Scoper is Innoflex’s cutting edge mobile surveying and estimating app. It enables a building surveyor to efficiently create a report with a scope of works on a mobile device in the customer’s home. This can be transmitted back to the office and will automatically load the pdf report and populate the scope of works into Reflex 360. Not only does this save time and administration for the surveyor and office staff but it also ensures a consistent approach to surveying and validation.
Scoper also has a variation option that allows any operative to gather key information, including video images, about extra works, which can be instantly sent back from site to a technical member of staff to review and scope. This not only prevents work down time or the need to send a surveyor out, but allows additional works to be assessed, scoped and approved within minutes not days.
Any suppliers who currently have Reflex 360 can make the most of these efficiency savings right now if they use Scoper. Any suppliers interested in using Reflex 360 and/or Scoper should go to the Innoflex website for more information or contact Tim Hudson
