Awards Season continues!
This month we bring you news of MA Assist‘s Supplier of 2018 and Virtus Validation‘s Surveyor of 2018. As usual the winners will be celebrated at our annual MA Group Charity Golf Day and Dinner on 6th June.
We also bring news of new systems developments at MA Assist, where the operating system, Pulse, is able to adapt workflows as circumstances change and the workflow can be changed multiple times as the claim progresses. Not only does this reduce claim durations and indemnity spend, it also creates more time for claims staff to focus on claims and or processes where more human intervention is needed and improves customer satisfaction.
MA Assist Supplier of 2018
MA Assist’s Supplier of 2018 was IPC Construction. They were Newcomer of the Year last year and are a shining example to the rest of the network. Ian runs a tight ship, with Raya in the driving seat to make sure everything is running smoothly. I’m sure many in our call centre would agree she is always a pleasure to deal with. Well done to everyone at IPC.
Willis Construction were runners up. They have always been a consistent performer, ever since they joined the network three years ago. This recognition is well earned as they are always striving to provide a top service for MA Assist and its clients.
Third place went to DMB Contracts and Newcomers of the Year were T Sumner Smith. Both suppliers performed really well in 2018 and we look forward to continuing to work with them in 2019.
Specialist Supplier of the Year was Safeline Environmental. Safeline have worked with MA Assist for many years as asbestos removal supplier. Stephen and Matt provide an excellent service and peace of mind to MA Assist‘s clients, customers and suppliers.
Virtus Validations Surveyor of 2018
Congratulations to Simon Henry, Virtus Validation’s Surveyor of 2018.
Simon was the Surveyor of Q1 2018 and has consistently performed to the highest levels throughout last year, constantly being a contender for each of the subsequent quarterly awards. His speed of attendance and uploading of reports, as well as the quality of his work, has been first class.
The Virtus claims team say that he is always happy to help and his accurate reporting and decision-making helps them deliver the best possible service to their clients and their customers
Well done Simon.
Virtus is also awarding its first Newcomer of the Year Award – to Mark Richardson.
Mark has performed really well since he started working for Virtus mid-way through 2018 and the claims team have provided glowing feedback around his interaction with them and how he deals with claims.
MA Group MAD Awards
The January award went to Chloe Milton from MA Assist.
During the first week back from the Christmas/New Year break Chloe showed a great work ethic as she held the fort while three of her colleagues were off sick. On top of this, she received excellent feedback from a policy holder who described her as “absolutely brilliant” and “a real driving force on the claim”.
MA Assist is Going with the Flow
arlier in the month MA Assist sent out an update on changes to its operating system, Pulse. Unlike other claims management systems, MA Assist‘s Pulse system does not create system constraints. It is able to adapt workflows as circumstances change and the workflow can be changed multiple times as the claim progresses.
All of MA Assist‘s suppliers, whether appointed at the start or later in the claim, can see at what stage the claim is. They can also see the planned start and finish dates for other suppliers, allowing them to plan their works more effectively.
The system has been designed to not only create a more efficient claims process, but to also improve the management of risks on site. It also has the intelligence to automate certain activities if they meet certain parameters, creating efficiencies and allowing staff to concentrate on more complex claims and issues that need the human touch.
MA Assist‘s dynamic, adaptable system brings the following benefits:
> Improved risk management such as waiting for asbestos test results as part of the workflow.
> Reducing claim durations by enabling suppliers to see who else is working on the claim and how they are progressing. This opens up lines of communication so suppliers can co-ordinate with each other.
> Automation creates more time for claims staff to focus on claims and processes where more human intervention is needed.
> Improved customer satisfaction as efficiencies and co-ordination increase and claim durations fall, and
> Improved cost control as automatic validation of straightforward claims frees up our technical and audit staff to focus on more challenging claim validations.
