This month we bring you news of another award nomination for Virtus and an update on progress integrating Revival into the MA Group, plus the usual MAD awards, Supplier and Surveyor awards and news on a new proposition for housebuilders from NHCC.
Virtus nominated again
We are delighted that Virtus has been nominated for another award this year – this time they have been named as finalists in the Insurance Times 2019 Claims Excellence Awards.
They have been nominated in the Claims Start Up category, a fantastic boost for our growing validation and surveying business. The winners are announced at the awards ceremony on 23rd May, so fingers crossed!
MA Assist Supplier of Q1
For the first time ever we have three joint winners of Supplier of the Quarter for MA Assist. Congratulations to TSS Infrastructure Services, Leewood Construction and DMB Contracts.
All three have performed exceptionally well during the first quarter of 2019, so there was nothing to choose between them. So this quarter we have three winners rather than a first, second and third.
Virtus Surveyor of Q1
The winner of Surveyor of Q1 2019 for Virtus is Richard Vernon.
Richard always performs well, but his response during recent higher levels of activity has been excellent. Throughout the first quarter Richard has submitted his reports very quickly following each inspection, whilst still ensuring all information captured is clear and accurate, which is key to providing a ‘right first time’ service to our clients.
In addition to the management information highlighting how well he has performed the Virtus claims team also felt that Richard’s performance has been fantastic over the last few months and this deserved further recognition. Well done Richard.
Revival branch meeting
We held our second branch meeting for Revival branches on 10th April. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a productive day.
There was an update on the progress being made to consolidate systems and integrate Revival into MA Group‘s Pulse operating system and Scoper app. A group wide IT support plan was introduced for all branches. There was also a training session on complaints – introducing the effective Resolver claims management process to the branches.
We also introduced Revival to our preferred supplier scheme with Travis Perkins: NHCC, MA Assist suppliers and the Revival branches have access to preferential prices to ensure that the best possible value and service is delivered to our clients.
We also introduced MA Group‘s commitment to training and a comprehensive tiered approach to training for Revival staff. At MA Group we believe in investing in our staff and incentivising them to do well, and we will be rolling out this structured and professional approach across the network over the next few weeks, to ensure consistency and a continued high level of service.
NHCC flood and water damage restoration
In partnership with Revival, NHCC is developing an new proposition for housebuilders. Flooding and escapes of water are a commmon problem for new housebuilders and so NHCC is introducing an outsourced solution backed up with the knowledge and expertise of Revival.
Water can cause tremendous amounts of damage in any home, but when the house is newly built and on a strict completion timeline, quick and effective action is hugely important to minimise the damage and resulting costs. Revival are experts in water damage mitigation and, combined with NHCC‘s repair and project management skills, we can offer a comprehensive and efficient outsourced solution for housebuilders.

MA Group MAD awards
March’s winner of the MA Group MAD awards was Matt Vaughan-Roberts from MA Assist.
Following a request from a client to provide their handlers with building training, Matt tailored training material to suit their requirements, which he delivered direct to the handlers. Their Claim Manager was delighted and provided great feedback.
Matt has received a £25 gift card and will be entered into the MAD Award of the Year.
MA Group Charity Gold Day and Dinner
Thursday 6th June 2019
This year we will be returning to Magnolia Park for our Golf Day! Once again we will be bringing together our clients and suppliers for a day of golf and networking, followed by a drinks reception and dinner, all to raise money for our chosen charity – The Oxford Youth Action Clinic which supports young people following a kidney transplant.
Golf will be a Stableford competition, although we would be delighted to welcome individual players. If you would like to join us on what is always a fun packed day, then please email Sally-Ann or call 01296 678129 for an entry form and more information.
