Getting ready for June!
May has really been all about June! June is a big month for us here at MA Group and lots of preparations have been under way for next month: We are getting ready for the annual Charity Golf Day on 1st June, preparing to attend more awards events, the Cateran Yomp takes place on 10th June and I will be off from 5th June for a few weeks to donate a kidney to my daughter.
More award nominations
MA Group and Virtus Validations have been nominated for more awards this month. In the Claims Management Awards MA Group has been nominated in the following categories:
And there are another three nominations for Virtus Validations too:
Pretty impressive we think! The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 8th June, so we hope we will win at least one of these.
We also attended the Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards in London on 18th May where we were short-listed for Customer Care Initiative of the Year. Unfortunately we faced some stiff competition and didn’t win.
We are delighted to announce that we have recruited more new senior staff. Kirstine Lawman (left) has joined MA Group as Head of our Resolver Team to bring even greater focus on delivering outstanding service to our customers.
Tim Hudson has joined MA Assist as Head of Operations. Tim has many years of experience in the insurance industry working for Allianz and UIA and more recently as a consultant.
We have also recruited Camila Chellew as Account Manager. She was working for Allied Solutions, so may be well known to many of you, and we are delighted to welcome her to the MA Group.
New Warrington office
We are thrilled to have completed the purchase of a permanent office in the North West. The office will be used by all MA Group staff as needed, and is the new operational home for Virtus Validations and Innoflex Systems.
The address is Sedgefield House, Trident Business Park, Birchwood, WA3 6BX. If you are in the area please pop in to say hello, or if you would like a more formal meeting please get in touch with Alex Kilpatrick, Dan Ashton or Andy Dakin.
We are all looking forward to the annual Charity Golf Day on 1st June. We have a record number of attendees this year and lots of surprises in store, so we think this will be a great day for everyone (we will try to arrange the same stunning weather as we had last year, but we can’t make any promises).
As you know we are raising funds for the Oxford Transplant Foundation following the diagnosis of my daughter’s acute kidney failure. Many of you may know that I am donating my kidney to Laura, and we now have a confirmed date for the operation – 8th June – so I will be out of action for a few weeks from 5th June onwards. Teresa Owen and Jorge Gonzalo will be holding the fort for me while I am away – please do get in touch with them if you need anything.
A couple of days after the operation Patrick Howard, Geof Loe and Dan Ashton will be braving the Cateran Yomp, raising funds for this incredible charity that has been supporting me, Laura and the rest of our family. Please donate whatever you can to this very worthwhile cause and give these three the encouragement they need at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/MAGroup2017.
Thank you to everyone who has made donations so far – to the Yomp and the Charity Golf Day – we really do appreciate it.
We will soon be announcing some exciting new development to Reflex 360. Reflex360 is an online construction management software tool that integrates all aspects of construction supply chain management.
Innoflex Systems, headed up by Zanfar Ali, has been developing some great tools that will make scoping, job management and variations much easier and efficient for any contractor. Look out for news we will be sending out in the next couple of weeks, or get in touch with Zanfar or Neil Foster.
