Showcasing business and sporting achievements
This month our staff hosted the Supplier of the Year 2016 awards dinner and an Open Day in the new Aylesbury office. They have also been demonstrating their athleticism through training for a Charity Yomp and winning a football tournament. In June, we hope to showcase award winners and more sporting prowess at our Annual Golf Day and Dinner. We are proud of the achievements of our staff and suppliers, and we love showcasing their achievements in business and sport.
Supplier of the Year 2016 awards
On 2nd March we treated our award-winning suppliers to dinner and drinks at our Supplier of the Year 2016 awards. Everyone had a very enjoyable evening, and here are some photographs of the winners:
From left to right: Steve Wall from KNK, Supplier of the Year 2016, with Harry. Craig and Mike from Willis Construction, Joint Newcomer of the Year 2016. Ollie and Mark from Frank Rogers, Joint Newcomer of the Year 2016. Nik and Brad from SOS Leak Detection, Specialist Supplier of the Year 2016.
Thank you to Stephen Pomfret for organising the evening and for a very entertaining speech and awards ceremony. Luckily he didn’t leave the handing out of envelopes to the accountant in the room.
Thank you to everyone who came to our Open Day on 2nd March. For those of you who couldn’t make it, we have sent out a summary of the day and the key points covered. You can also read about it in on the MA Assist website.
Paul Hayman opened the event with an update on the developments in the industry and at MA Group. Dan Ashton then talked about Virtus Validations, our new independent, nationwide validation company. Through investment in innovative technology and a clear understanding of Consumer Rights, Virtus provides an efficient and positive experience for the customer, enables clear, well-informed customer choice and supports the customer regardless of the outcome of the claim.
Dan also show-cased our mobile scoping and validation app, Scoper. Developed by our in-house IT company, Innoflex Systems, it is already being used extensively by Virtus Validations. This advanced technology’s built-in efficiencies are helping to minimise claim lifecycles and improve the customer experience. There was a lot of interest in this app during the Open Day, and there has been significant interest from the industry in general. If you would like to know more, please get in touch with Dan Ashton.
Zanfar Ali, MD of Innoflex Systems, presented our new in-house case management system called Reflex 360. This IT system is already being used by Cipher UK and Virtus Validations, as well as some suppliers on our network. Reflex 360 delivers real value and benefits. It saves time and resources on mundane manual report generation, it promotes workforce efficiencies and, with flexible pricing plans to suit all business needs and sizes, it is a cost effective alternative to building your own system.
Finally, Alex Kilpatrick presented our BrokerAid service, our complete end-to-end solution for brokers. It delivers a comprehensive menu of property claims services that range from initial validation, through to repair and full project management by our dedicated central Broker Hub supported by leading edge technology. This service is completely flexible and can be tailored to meet the requirements of any broker and their customers. For more information please go to the MA Assist website.
Our Annual Charity Golf Day, taking place on 1st June at Magnolia Park Golf Club near Bicester, is taking shape nicely. The golf is already fully subscribed, but if you would like to attend the evening drinks and dinner we can still squeeze a few more people in. This is a great event that raises lots of money for our chosen charity The Oxford Transplant Foundation. The cost is £55 for evening dinner and drinks. If you would like to attend please get in touch with Sally-Ann Johnson.
If you have been following us on social media you will see that the training for the Cateran Yomp has begun, but with some unusual strategies. Patrick Howard and Geof Loe from Cipher UK and Dan Ashton from Virtus Validations will be taking part in the Cateran Yomp from 10th to 11th June to raise funds for MA Group’s chosen charity for 2017 – the Oxford Transplant Foundation.
All three of them have been spotted in fast food outlets – deep fried chicken may work for Usain Bolt, but we’re not so sure that it will work for our “prime” athletes. But they are clocking up the miles and winning football competitions (see below), so they need all the support they can get.
The Yomp (a military term for a long-distance march) is an epic adventure challenge. Teams of 3-6 people have to walk 54 miles in 24 hours across the rugged terrain of the Scottish wilderness. The route stretches from the high mountains of the Cairngorms National Park to the rolling farmland and berry fields of historic Strathmore, and from the salmon rich waters of the River Tay to the footpaths and riding tracks of the Angus Glens.
We have set up a Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/MAGroup2017 where you can make donations which will go directly to the Oxford Transplant Foundation. We want to raise at least £2,000, so we hope our staff, clients, suppliers and others will be generous and support our brave fundraisers.
Congratulations to the Virtus football team who won the 2017 Bolton CII football tournament on 28th February.
It was a great event with some fantastic teams and they say they will certainly be back next year. Here they are with their trophy and their Virtus football shirts – they even made it onto the Bolton CII website.
Well done to Andy Dakin, Daniel Ashton, David Gregson, Adam Evans, Liam Nuttall & Tom Smith.
